Catch Up Time

Summer:
We spent our summer doing a lot of the usual things you do with kids. Parks, playing outside, rides up the canyon, bbq's, etc. In July I (Tracy) started working again, because the job market was so competitive for Tim to find a job, and we didn't know how long it would be before he found something, so he stayed home with the kids and I went back to work at Metalmart. But a short two weeks later we were blessed with the opportunity for Tim to go back to work as well, and even though it was a part time job he was applying for, he went to the interview and was offered full time work. So things have been incredibly busy, but the kids have been troopers. We have rough days, which is to be expected when both mom and dad are gone all day, but we have been really impressed with them and they have become great friends as they've had to rely more on each other. We have wonderful family members and friends that have been willing to help us out, and we appreciate more than they will ever know!

In September we celebrated Chloe's 1st birthday! She had her one year old appointment near the end of September and she is growing beautifully! Weight: 18 lbs 2 oz (5%), length 27 3/4" (10%), and head 46 cm (75%). Chloe isn't quite walking yet, but it won't be to long before she decides it's faster than crawling. She has been such a fast crawler, that she's never even been interested in walking. She walked pulled herself up to furniture and walked around it for months, but has never really like walking around while holding onto our finger. Until about this last month....she likes to walk around more, and is getting braver. She loves to chat. She can say: mom, dad, papa, more(and sign), brother (brubra), and she imitates just about every sound and other mouth action. She can also sign eat, and sometimes drink, and we're working on please and thank you. She'll pick up one of our phones and pretend to talk. She is such a smart girl and understands pretty much everything we say to her or ask her. Chloe is such a happy girl and such a sweet child. If you ask for a hug her kiss she'll most likely give you one. We can't believe how fast the last year has gone, but we are so glad that Chloe has been a part of it.

Daniel is still a very bright, active, and vibrant boy. He has been a big helper since mom has gone back to work, and he takes good care of his sister. He started preschool in September, and is finally starting to enjoy it. The first couple of weeks he struggled a little bit with separation anxiety (he's never liked being left places), but he is starting to really like it and will just go into his class without giving us a hug(because he gets to distracted by all the fun things, and he has more important things to do, then hug us goodbye). But this is a good improvement, because before he's just hang onto our leg and whine that he didn't want to go to his new school. Daniel still wears us out, and he is constantly amazing being with his endless energy. Daniel constantly amazes us with his ability to remember things (even small and insignificant thing). He is also such a sweetheart, and loves to spend time with his family. He can give the best hugs and kisses, and he sensitive enough to know when something is wrong, and he will get worried for you, and try to give you a kiss to make it better.

We love our kids so much, and are so blessed to be able to learn from them on a daily basis!

P.S. Thanks to my sister Tylyn for taking our family pictures. I have so many pictures and rather than posting so many on my blog, I just posted these few updated pictures of us, and will add more pictures on facebook, so you can check there for more of our summer pics.
